Leadership
The Missouri Family Policy Council was chartered as a
non-profit corporation in the state of Missouri as of October 1, 2007.
The organization is governed by a five-member Board of Directors
composed of individuals of demonstrated Christian commitment and
character.
The Board has adopted a code of ethics and rules of governance to ensure that
the organization remains true to Biblical standards and professional standards of accountability.
The Board guides and oversees the work of the Executive Director and staff to ensure
that the organization is viable and effective, and conducts all its affairs
with integrity.

Joe Ortwerth,
Executive Director
Joe Ortwerth and his wife Wendy live in St. Charles County with their son Josiah, who is home educated by his mother. The Ortwerths have an adult son, Frank, and another son, Joel, who is with the Lord.
Mr. Ortwerth served for 12 years (six terms) as a State Representative in the Missouri Legislature. He then served another 12 years (3 terms) as the County Executive of St. Charles County. He has served in numerous leadership roles in both state and local government.
Mr. Ortwerth is a licensed minister and the former pastor of Highway of Holiness Church of St. Charles County. The Ortwerths are members of St. Charles First Assembly of God Church.

Lawrence Collett,

Lawrence Collett and his wife Sherry live in Franklin County. They are the parents of two daughters and a son, and three grandchildren. They are members of First Evangelical Free Church in St. Louis, where Mr. Collett has served as Chairman of the Elder Board. Mr. Collett is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cass Information Systems, which includes its banking subsidiary, Cass Commercial Bank. Mr. Collett served as Chairman of the Greater St. Louis Billy Graham Crusade, has been a leading fundraiser for Christian ministries, and has been a prominent figure in promoting Christian witness in the business community. |
Frank Agovino,

Frank Agovino and his wife Anne live in St. Louis County. They are the parents of a son and daughter, and have four grandchildren. They are members of First Evangelical Free Church in St. Louis, where Mr. Agovino has served as a member of the Elder Board and as a youth leader. Mr. Agovino is an attorney and partner in the law firm of Senniger Powers, where his practice is dedicated to intellectual property law in the area of electronics and software. Frank and Anne have been active in mission trips to Mexico and Russia. |
J. Kevin McGraw, Secretary |
Dr. Kevin McGraw and his wife Vicky live in St. Charles County and are the parents of two daughters. They are members of Calvary Church in St. Peters where they are actively involved in worship ministry. Dr. McGraw is a licensed dentist and owns and operates a dental practice in St. Charles County. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Ministry to Men, and has served as Chairman of the Board of Living Word Schools. |
Brian Bredensteiner, Treasurer |
Brian Bredensteiner and his wife Ann live in St. Charles County. They have three children and are members of Immanuel Church in St. Charles. Mr. Bredensteiner is a certified public accountant, and is the principal and owner of Bredensteiner and Associates. Mr. Bredensteiner has been active as a Board member with the St. Charles Businessmen’s Prayer Breakfast, and the Ministry to men organization.” |

Don Carmody and his wife Patricia live in St. Louis County. They are the parents of three sons and have two grandchildren. They are members of the Church of the Annunziata. Mr. Carmody is an attorney and founding partner in the law firm of Carmody MacDonald, where his legal practice covers business law, insurance, real estate, and banking and finance. He was recognized in 2006 as a Top Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. He is the President of the St. Louis Chapter of Legatus, an organization of Catholic business leaders. |

Jim Agnew and his wife, Sue, live
in Jefferson County and have six children, thirteen
grandchildren, and seven foster grandchildren. They are members
of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church where Jim has served on
various committees, participated in home mission trips, and
taught Christian parenting classes. He has also served on the
Board of Directors of Sunshine Ministries. Jim is a Corporate
Vice-President with Arthur J. Gallagher and Company.
